Auto giant Nissan announced Thursday that 2.14 million vehicles in the U.S., Japan, Europe and Asia are being recalled for an ignition malfunction that may cause the engine to stall. The Nissan recall includes a long list of vehicles including the popular subcompacts March and Mycra.
Yokohama, Japan-based Nissan, said there haven’t been any accidents related to the defect. That is all well and good and it is better to be safe than sorry, but why all the recalls? One can’t help but think maybe it’s time to audit the manufacturing processes.
