Leona Gage, one of the most memorable Miss USA winners, has died in Los Angeles at the age of 71. Leona Gage was crowned Miss USA in 1957 only to have her title stripped the next day after pageant officials learned that she was married with two children.

The rules were strict back then and Leona Gage spoke to reporters after her win blatantly lying. “I want to wait until I’m 26 before I become seriously interested in the opposite sex,” she said. The day after her win, the truth came out and the public learned she had been married twice (at the age of 14!), had a second child at age 16 and was 18 years old, not 21.
Leona Gage hid her pregnancy for as long as she could and told The Sun,
To my mother, that was the biggest scandal there could be. All my life, she said, ‘Don’t you dare go into the bushes with a boy and get yourself pregnant.’
Oh boy, this is grody. Remember Octomom? The Angelina Jolie obsessed, in-vitro fertilization addict that popped out 8 kids a couple years back — adding to the 6 she already has? Sure you do, because her weird face with those flump (fake plump) lips and un-beweaveable hair extensions has forever been seared into your mind, for better, but mostly for worse.
TLC’s horribly addictive new show, Sister Wives, takes the cake in creepy new TV this season. Chronicling the lives of Kody “Surfer Dude Turned Fundamentalist Mormon” and his three wives Meri, Janelle and Christine, who together have 12 kids. Brown married his first wife, Meri, 20 years ago. Three years later he married Janelle, and a year after that he married Christine. Trying to round out his family into a baker’s dozen, Kody is currently courting a fourth wife, to the utter horror of the three sister wives. Why? Because she’s thin, pretty and, like his shiny Lexus, is new. This will, no doubt, cause serious tension and some very polite feuding among the quiet demure ladies of the house.

Every driver’s worst nightmare came true for Brian Wood when an SUV swerved across the median forcing him to make a split-second decision that would leave his family forever changed. Brian Wood, 33, a video game designer at Relic Entertainment, tragically passed away on September 5, 2010, when he made the decision to save his pregnant wife and unborn child. Wood sacrificed his own life when he turned his vehicle in order to take the brunt of the head on collision himself. Erin Wood, Brian’s six month pregnant wife, said that her husband made a conscious decision to keep the Chevy Blazer away from her side of the vehicle. Tragically, Brian Wood was killed on impact.
