An NC-17 rating, in most cases, means the film is a stone’s throw away from porn.
Blue Valentine is an American film from writer/director Derek Cianfrance that was shot in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It focuses on the relationship between Dean, a working class guy going nowhere and Cindy, a college student. The film has an NC-17 rating due to drunken sex scenes at a motel. So if you want to check out Blue Valentine before the MPAA trims those scenes down, check your local listings now!
